Weekend Update

I did something somewhat drastic this weekend. Something I rarely do. I cut my hair. Short! Buh bye long(er) hair.
I have never had my hair this short. But to be honest, it makes me feel kind of spunky. So basically, I like it. I didn't tell husband about it beforehand. When he walked through the door after work on Friday, he was pleasantly surprised. He likes my hair either way - long or short. Plus, I'll be totally honest, I am sucker for Jessica Simpson clip in extensions. I've been using those bad boys for years. Literally. I started wearing them in college. So, if I'm feeling like long hair, all I gotta do is clip them in.

Instagram was sure to cover my photo bases this weekend.

1. Another self portrait of my hair cut. Short hurr, don't curr.
2. Layla is home!!! This little princess is doing great. For those of you who don't know, we got Layla (an Imperial Shih Tzu) on December 28th. She was 1.5 pounds. After having her a couple of days, she got really sick and had to go to the Emergency Vet clinic. We ran up a $2,000 vet bill. After we could no longer afford to keep her at the vet, the breeder took her back and nursed her back to health. She's now at 2.5 lbs and doing great! Zoey and her are getting along just wonderfully too. You will definitely be seeing more of her around these parts of the w-w-w.
3. Husband and I hung up the purty new mirror that we got. I blogged about this last week in case you forgot. I think it looks fan-freakin-tastic.
4. Ross and I found our church home about 2 years ago. The message at church this week was just amazing. Mel, a pastor from the the Xai-Xai location in Africa, came to speak at our church. The service was about "holding on" to Jesus. No matter what, hold on. He shared some of his struggles over the past year and pretty much everyone was sniffling by the end. Days like that at church are a huge reminder why I have this little thing called faith.

  2. My husband always says I look spunky when I get my hair cut short! I love my hair on the short side, but I don't like getting hair cuts, so about every 6 months or so I go short!
