It was super easy, but a little more time consuming that I had originally thought. It was definitely well worth it though. I plan to do this to our wedding cards as well! See below for the steps on how to create this project:
Step one: Get your supplies all in one place
Supplies include: mod podge, paint brush, twine, scissors, hole punch, cardboard, Christmas cards (no brainer), marker, and any additional decorations you'd like to add.
Step two: Paint the cardboard
If you have plain cardboard, you can skip this step if you'd like. As you can see from the photo above, mine had writing on it.
Step three: Hole punch
I just kind of eyeballed where I wanted my holes to go on the cards and cardboard. Once you have one, you can use that as your "stencil" for the remaining others by drawing a black dot on the next card for where you'll use the hole punch.
Using mod podge, I added some stickers that I had, and some scrapbook paper cutouts.
If the ends get frayed (mine did), simply cut off a little bit and keep truckin' along.
Step six: Admire your piece of work
Go get linky dinky with Katie and Steph!
