Taste of Tuesday: Wine Edition

Today I'm linking up with Ashley and Jessica for Taste of Tuesday. I hope they don't kill me for not cooking (I promise I will next week) but I had this brilliant idea that came to me. Since I'm a wineo and all, I figured I'd share my favorites. The good news is that you can pair these wines with whatever meal you've cooked for Taste of Tuesday.
1. Messina Hof - Beau: This is a sweet red wine. It has always been my favorite, but because I started experiencing headaches when drinking red wine, I had to switch to white. Here's an engagement picture that Ross and I took in December 2010 holding Beau. I highly suggest y'all try it! Also, if you're in Texas, go to their winery located in College Station! It's a fun date.
2. Flat Creek - Sparkling Almond: This is a sparkling wine. Very smooth and goes down easy. This is one of my newer favorites.
3. Ballatore - Gran Spumante: This is a sparkling wine. It's my favorite champagne/sparkling wine of all freaking time. You wouldn't even believe how cheap it is also. ($5-$6 at HEB) You will thank me once you try this stuff. Go buy some STAT.
4. Llano Estacado - Chardonnay: This is another great Texas wine. Ross and I also went on a date to this winery and loved it. All of Llano's wines are awesome, but their Chardonnay is my favie.

  2. Wine=goes with food=perfect for the link up!! I am buying #3 asap! I love trying new wines, but always forget to write down which ones we like/don't like and then I stand in the grocery store and stare at the bottles and hope I don't buy one we don't like, ha. Thanks for linking up!! Love the wine post idea! :)

  3. Love this!! These are my kind of wines! They're on my grocery list for the weekend and I'm seriously considering going to the winery in College Station, since my hubby's an Aggie and all! :) Thanks for linking up with Ash and I! :)

  4. I'm not a wine fanatic but I really want to go to a winery tasting. It's actually on my 101 in 1001 list. I think KC and I are going to have to try a couple of these though!

  8. I. love. wine. I enjoy cooking? or my sad attempts to, but this was a wonderful idea for a post--I don't know anything about wine--just that I won't let my husband keep it in the house on a regular basis because it could easily replace my supper- on days that end in Y. :)

  9. I will have to try these! I buy wine almost solely based on how cute the label is haha so I could stand to branch out a little! I just wish we could buy it in the grocery store here! I'm in Pennsylvania and we have to go to special stores to get wine! What a pain!

I don't drink, but I am seriously in love with this picture! Also...my husband and I talk (not necessarily dream) about moving to Texas someday...and I just think your blog might make me want to live there even more! :)
