The older I get, the more I realize how important Mother's Day is. I am blessed to have a mom that respects me, understands me, and most of all she loves me unconditionally. She has seen all my flaws and still calls me her baby girl. Another really cool feeling? She loves my husband. That brings me a lot of joy. Not every family has that kind of love, so I am especially grateful.
1. Momma and me at Lupe Tortilla. Husband and I took her and my little brother out to eat in honor of Mother's Day. And of course we selected Mexican food, our favorite. After we ate some lunch, we went shopping at The Domain. We had a lot of fun spending the day together.
2. My momma and my babies. She calls them her grandbabies, and she's right! Those little princesses are spoiled rotten, just like her future grandkids are gonna be.
3. We took the princesses to the vet for a check up. Layla got spayed last week so we figured we'd take them in to make sure all else was good. I had to snap this sweet photo of husband and the pups.
4. The sweetest gift in all the land. It was the perfect Mother's Day prezzie. It had a paw print from each of my babies! Layla and Zoey really know the way to my heart.
On another note, I signed up to receive a monthly glam bag from Ipsy. I can't wait to get it in and give y'all my reviews. It's very similar to other monthly subscriptions, such as Birchbox, but I felt like Ipsy was more my style. There are tons of options out there, so if you're signed up too let me know your favorite monthly subscriptions!
Lastly, I won this awesome hand stamped key chain from Jen's blog! The keychain is customized by Stamped By Twin Giraffe. Her etsy shop can be found here. I love my keychain SO very much! It includes my wedding anniversary on it along with a quote that husband and I say a lot. Growing up, my stepdad always told my momma, "You're the greatest, baby!" And it just kind of stuck. Ever since Ross and I started dating, I've been telling him that he's the greatest. So it's definitely a phrase used a lot in the Skinner household.
Happy Monday friends!
