DIY: Chalkboard Tray

First things first: Happy Thursday!

Second off, don't forget to enter the giveaway that I'm co-hosting. The giveaway entries ends tomorrow so hurry and enter!

Next: For all my "private blog" readers, I wrote a post yesterday. Be sure to check it out. And remember that you have to be logged into your e-mail account to access that blog.

Finally, I am so glad to be back into the DIY project-making phase in my life. Sometimes you just gotta go to Hobby Lobby and spend that hard earned money that you husband made. It's all in the name of your house being cute as a button. I think that's totally acceptable.

Today's project is super easy (all of mine are!) so take some notes and get your DIY on.

Original pin can be found here.

 Step One: Gather your supplies.
You'll need a tray, chalkboard paint, paint brush, chalk, hot glue + glue gun, and bow for decoration. I got my tray at Dollar Tree and the chalkboard paint was from Hobby Lobby. I would recommend both products.

Step Two: Paint a layer of chalkboard paint on the tray.
To start out with, you'll paint in one direction (horizontal). After that's dried for roughly an hour, you can paint another layer in the opposite direction (vertical).

Step Three: Hot glue bow onto tray & use chalk to write on board.
Because I am uber obsessed with July 4th (it's my favie holiday EVER!) I had to write something related to that on there. That way I can proudly display it as Independence Day approaches.

Step Four: Admire your final product.
Today I'm linking up with Katie and Stephanie!
