DIY: USA Photo Frames

True story: I love all things red, white, and blue.

Today's Pinterest inspired project came from this pin here. But if I'm being honest, I like my version even more! It's colorful, sparkly, and totally exciting. Especially when it's in a focal area in our living room. My husband was quite impressed too. I think he'll keep me around.

It was super easy to make. Here are the basic steps:

Step one: Gather your supplies.
You'll need 3 frames of your choice (5x7), letters (U-S-A), paint (red), paint brushes, glitter (red), mod podge, hot glue + gun, scrapbook paper, and scissors.

Step two: Paint your letters red.
Do this as step one so that while you're doing the rest of the project, the letters will have time to dry. You don't have to paint every part of the letter perfectly; just enough to cover it.

Step three: Cut your scrapbook paper into 5x7.
It will fit the frame perfectly if you use the paper that was included in the frame itself. Repeat this step for each frame. I suggest using different scrapbook paper to mix things up a little bit.

Step four: Add mod podge and glitter to letters.
Make sure your letters are completely dried. Mine were, so hopefully yours will be too. Run a small layer of mod podge on your letter, add the glitter, and let it set for about an hour.

Step five: Hot glue glitter letters onto the glass of the frame.
Make sure to get rid of all excess glitter on the letter. Once the glitter is completely set, hot glue it onto the glass frame.

Step six: Display your project with pride.
I couldn't be more happy with this project. I love everything about it!
I think it's safe to say that I'm excited and ready for July 4th. Today I'm linking up with Katie and Stephanie! And you most definitely should too!
