Random updates + my oldest is turning 4 this month

Oh lookey there... it's 10am and I'm just now posting. My B.

One thing you should know about me is that I'm a list maker. And because I didn't prepare a post for today (whoops), let's just go over a list of updates in my life, bullet point style.

  • I am having surgery this month. If you're a follower of my private blog, you can read all about it there. If you're not, I will update everyone later this month. Sorry to keep most of you in the dark. But just because I'm a blogger doesn't mean I like putting everything out there. Plus, everyone will know in due time. So there's that.
  • This weekend, hubby and I are planning a stay-cation. I am so excited. It'll be like a weekend getaway, except in our current city. Should be fun. I highly advise it.
  • Luke Bryan's new album is legit. So what if I've been jamming to "That's My Kind of Night" over and over and over and over. I also watched that music video and good LAWD. Luke honest to goodness is a God at shaking his booty.
  • We're getting gutters on our house next week! Oh, the things that I get excited for these days. Such is the life of an old married woman.

And because no post is complete without a picture, check out this gem. It's Zoey as a baby. This picture was over three years ago. It makes me smile every.single.time. When she was a baby, we always kept her hair in a ponytail. Well, one day we took her ponytail out. You can (clearly) tell by the look on her face, that she wasn't entertained. We were, at least.
Can I just take a moment to tell you how much I love my baby, Zoey. She will be 4 years old this month. What a big girl. Where did time go??? She is what you would call my pride and joy. She melts my heart and is the best daughter in all the world. It's hard to believe how much I love her. Don't get me wrong, I love my other baby Layla a ton too. But Zoey is my first child and will always hold an extra special place in my heart.

On another note, I seriously apologize for this random post. But let's be honest... I just needed to get some of that stuff out.
