Truthfully, it amazes me how quickly time can fly by. But then again, my parents always said, "time flies when you're having fun" as I grew up. And I definitely believe that now. The days may go by quicker, but at least I have my better half along to enjoy the ride.
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Ephesians 5:22-33
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. Ephesians 5:31
He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. Proverbs 18:22
There will be a point in time when we have more than just a family of two. As in... kiddos. Such an important lesson that I've learned in our second year is to cherish these times together, just the two of us. I love being able to just do whatever we want, whenever we want. Like randomly planning a vacation. Or those times when we want to put our boots on and go two-stepping. Or when we decide to get obnoxiously drunk for no good reason. I have learned to see the beauty in our little family of two.
I think it takes a certain amount of time for newlyweds to truly learn the significance of marriage. Throughout the first year, I think we struggled to find "how our marriage should operate." The second year was our defining moment when we found the perfect path. This year has been ALL about Ross and I. And he has proven, in many ways, just how much he loves me. There is absolutely nothing more comforting than a feeling of overwhelming love.
There's no way I can make it without you,
There's no way that I'd even try.
If I had to survive without you in my life,
I know I wouldn't last a day.
Oh babe, there's no way.
