Weekend Update

AT&T really grinds my gears. But, it looks like we have cable, internet, and phone again. Knock on wood. That being said, it'll take me a little while to catch up on emails. Butttttt, hoorah for me, I will be off work starting Friday for two full weeks. I am beyond excited. I should have plenty of time to do emails during my break. So yea. There's that.

My weekend was great. It lasted 3 days, and I soaked up every split second of it. Here's a little lookie:
1. The lil ole town of West, TX (yes, that's an actual town - not just the direction) has the most tasty little bakery ever. I've been going there since I was little. Their strawberry kolaches are to die for! P.S. I just recently learned that iPhones don't have the word "kolache" in their dictionary. Furthermore, Microsoft Word keeps asking me if I'm spelling that word wrong. Do people not know what kolaches are?
2. Since I was in Dallas for the weekend, I got to meet up with two of my old colleges roomies. We went to Chipotle, duh. Fun times.
3. My honeybee and I just hanging out.
4. Cheesin hubby and I. He finally shaved his mustache. Hallelujah!
5. Plainview High School besties. So presh. Their 10 year H.S. reunion will be coming up very soon and we'll have another rendezvous! Hopefully it's in Lubbock though and not Plainview. That town is just too tiny for my liking. Plus, maybe I'll get to have a blate with Jessica while I'm there.

On another note, the semester is over. Thank ya Jesus! I am literally so thankful. I neeeeeed a break. I can't believe that this time next year I will have my Masters of Arts degree. EEK. #smartypants

  1. Oh no!! Don't tell me you have issues with AT&T!! We just switched to them from Time Warner!! In better news, looks like you guys had a fun time this past weekend!! Too funny about kolache not coming up on your phone!! Love that place too!!

  3. It is really sad, but I'm pretty sure no one outside of Texas knows what Kolache's are. In Louisiana they are basically pigs in a blanket and SO GROSS.

  4. If their 10 year reunion is in Lubbock, we can absolutely have a blate!! Lubbock is way better than Plainview anyway. ;) Also, I think kolaches are a Texas thing and maybe that's why everything thinks it's a misspelled word? I love kolaches and think we should share them with the world!

  5. Looks like y'all had a great time! I hate when I tell people that I want a kolache and they bring back a 'pig in the blanket'. A kolache is fruit-filled. Seriously! :( That bakery sounds awesome, though!

  10. I live in TN and had never heard of Kolaches UNTIL I met my hubs! His uncle owns a bakery in TX and Kolaches are his favorite item off their menu. His uncle ships them to us sometimes...soooooo yummy!
