When Texans Get Ice

When Texans get ice, we call it snow. Because we can. And we cancel school and work. Because we forget how to drive. So instead of sleeping in like I would normally love to do, I woke up giddy and took pictures.
We also let the pups out to play in it, however they were not having it. They both completely forgot how to use their legs. Here's a cute little video of Zoey hobbling around the yard.

  1. I love your neighborhood! When Alabama Gets Ice the same thing occurs. No School. No work. I visited my sister in Colorado one year and there was several feet of snow and everyone was just trotting along to work and school.

  2. I love it! It is so pretty! I just don't like to drive in it! It was 12 degrees on my way to work this morning, no snow though. It is pointless being that cold with no snow!

  3. Love pups on ice... and yes its why we live in Texas we don't get days off when its 112 and the ac goes out, so we complain about ice and call it even with the north!

  4. It's the same in TN! Commuting anywhere is near impossible!

  5. Haha! Love it! We almost never get work off unless it's a foot of snow. It can be dangerous though if you are not used to driving in it so better safe than sorry!

  8. We got a little bit more than you in VA, but everyone has the same reaction! I would rather be safe than sorry, though, and was happy to have 2 snow days at home instead of having to drive with crazy people.

  9. It makes me laugh how Texas closes down when it ices! But then again, I'm okay with that and not getting out on the road!
