Beauty Favorites: Setting Sprays

The purpose of makeup setting spray is to do just that: set your makeup. It's basically like hairspray for the face. In fact, in the past I have used hairspray on my face... but that's a different story for a different time.
Urban Decay De Slick - $14 & 1 oz.
Pros: spray intensity is perfect; helps makeup to last a little longer than usual
Cons: too much money for so little product

Victoria's Secret Make It Last (in stores) - $14 & 4.05 oz.
Pros: product will last for a long time; keeps making lasting for hours on end
Cons: sprays a little harshly

Overall, I much prefer the Victoria's Secret one. Although I don't like the spray intensity of it as much as the UD one, I feel like it holds much better. Plus, you get way more product for the price. Me likely. Other noteworthy setting sprays include:
Today I am linking up with my girl Jordon!

  1. I love the UD setting spray but I've never heard of the Victoria's Secret one so I may have to try that next! And I've used hairspray on my face before, too haha

  4. I use Ben Nye final seal, because it's what the Disney princesses use haha. Hey I figure if they're in the sun hugging people all day, it's gotta work! I get it at a local stage/costume supply store, but I've seen it on the internet too. In case you're ever looking for something new :)

  6. I will have to check some of these out. I used to spray my makeup w/ hairspray for pageants. It's a wonder that didn't make me have terrible breakouts! That can't be good for your skin.

  7. I just started using a new bottle of the UD setting spray. I just might have to try out the VS when I run out. You're the only person I've ever seen talk about it!

  8. I am totally guilty of using hairspray on my face back in the day for cheerleading competitions, lol! I haven't thought about a product like this in years though, I might look into it! ;) On long days during the season, I feel like I look TERRIBLE by the time I get home haha!

  10. I have been SO skeptical of these, do they seriously work!?!? How long do they last?! Do you have to use a certain kind of make up for it to work...so many questions. LOL ;)

  14. Oohh I'll have to try the VS one sometime :) I love the UD one, it's crazy how the spray is the perfect amount of a mist. I even tried pouring some of a NYX one in a UD bottle haha, nope. It's so weird!
