On this here space o' mine, I've always claimed to be the least competitive person alive. Well I may have accidentally lied. I say "accidentally" because it was not on purpose that I lied to y'all. I just completely forgot about two itty bitty things that I'm crazy competitive about.
1. My husband.
2. Country music.
Yes, in that order. I'll explain.
Dress - Hazel & Olive
Side note: I about died when I saw this dress.
It was the most perfect thing I had ever laid
my eyes on and I had to make it mine. Adorbz.
When it comes to le husband, he is my main squeeze. And ain't nobody gettin' in between us. Therefore, my highly competitive -almost annoyingly competitive- side comes out when necessary. Although it's not related to being competitive, I like this verse from the bible: "Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord." (Ephesians 5:22). But really... I have an interesting story about meeting my husband & competitiveness. We'll save that for another blog post.
Regarding country music, I didn't think I was all that competitive, but my hubby convinced me otherwise. I feel like I just lost a huge game (or something of that magnitude) if I cannot name the artist & song title of a country song when I hear it. It's intense. I need to find a way to make that into a monetary game of sorts.
In other news, I am done with my Clomid for the month. I was to take it on days 3-7 of my cycle. Then, yesterday my husband gave me two shots at home. I about freaked out. But all ended up being fine. He deserves a temporary RN license. This Wednesday, I will check in with my fertility doc and see how many "mature" eggs I've got. Thennn, the exciting part: we get to actually have the IUI procedure. Say one more prayer for us. I'll be honest... I am feeling pretty darn confident. Especially because of Romans 8:28.
