Friday Favorites

1. FAVORITE BOOK?
This lil momma needs your help! I am in the market for a new read. Now that I'm no longer in graduate school, I realize I have way more free time on my hands, which I am grateful for. I am looking for a new book that will help me develop more as a Christian wife/woman/mommy. Or if you have something to suggest that doesn't fall into this category, let me know anyways! Ready, set, suggest!

2. FAVORITE PURCHASE.
I just bought my mini the most adorable swaddle blanket, complete with her name all over it. Throughout my pregnancy, Etsy has owned my life and my bank account. But here's a suggestion to Etsy sellers: if you stop making your things so much, I'll stop buying. Kensington is gonna be such a spoiled little babe.

3. FAVORITE RECIPES.
I'm dreaming of a date with my kitchen over the weekend. If I get around to it, I want to make this, this, and this. I feel like such a chef whenever I duplicate Pinterest recipes. Please tell me that I'm not alone.

4. FAVORITE MONTH.
Hey (almost) March, hey! Not only is it my birthday month (shout out to Friday the 13th!) but I also have some other fun things going on likeeeee... prenatal doctor appointments, our second anatomy scan, and a prepared childbirth class. The only thing that I'm not looking forward to is the gestational diabetes test. It's not that I'm worried about the sugary drink (I can totes handle that) but rather I am worried about the results. Praying that my glucose levels are normal and healthy!

5. FAVORITE THING (in general).
Each day I wake up counting my blessings. That's because Kensington is the one who wakes me up. Something about the morning time and me shifting around in bed makes her want to kick momma in all places possible. There is no greater feeling than when she's punching, kicking, and dancing in my womb. Each week, my love grows deeper and deeper for my daughter. Praise my Savior for this miracle!
Today I am linking up for Friday Favorites, Five on Friday, and Oh hey, Friday!

  1. This is not a religious book, but I loved it so much that I wanted to share. It is called And We All Are Completely Beside Ourselves. Great book with a very unique story! It's my first visit here :). Happy Friday!

  6. I have loved all of Liane Moriarty's books. What Alice Forgot and The Husband's Secret were both amazing and I couldn't put them down. I'm reading Gone with the Wind again, and it is just so good!
I am looking for new recipes all the time, so I am going to have to try one of those.

  7. Just found your blog today, I'm 24 weeks and have the lovely glucose test to look forward to this month too! I'm sure your results will come back just fine! Have you read "The Power of a Praying Woman"? It's so good and one that can be read over and over!

  8. I am curious on the book suggestions you get, because I’d love a good new read as well. And Yay for your birthday month! The diabetes test wasn’t that bad for me. I actually liked the orange drink! It tasted like a very sweet Sunkist. But I will be honest and say that I felt nauseous afterwards. Hopefully it will be a breeze for you! And ahh, how I miss those feelings of having a little one inside of you! I pray I get to experience that again! Your bump is adorable and that dress is your color, for sure!

  12. I just finished Party Girl by Rachel Hollis. It was one of the cutest, clever, clean written books I have read in a while. Love Does by Bob Goff is also an amazing read. Enjoy the next few weeks - spend time with those special loves in your life. It's amazing how routines change once a little human arrives - all for the good, all for the better! Happy Sunday!
