Beauty Favorites: Brushes

One thing that I don't talk about nearly enough is makeup. In fact, it looks like I haven't bothered to talk about beauty products since August of last year (here). That makes zero sense to me seeing as how Ulta and Sephora are two of my favie stores. Let's change that trend by chatting about makeup brushes that are essential, in my humble opinion, to a smooth looking face.
ONE. sigma f80 flat kabuki brush; used to blend foundation
TWO. sephora pro precision foundation brush #58; used to blend concealer
THREE. real techniques miracle complexion sponge; used to even out foundation (tip: dampen before use)
FOUR. e.l.f. powder brush; used to apply powder on large parts of the face
FIVE. e.l.f. studio blush brush; used to apply powder under eyes and smaller areas on face
SIX. urban decay naked2 eye shadow brush; used for applying and blending eye shadow

Out of all of these brushes, the Urban Decay eye shadow brush is by far my favorite. I don't even bother applying eye shadow with any other brush. I got mine whenever I purchased the Naked 2 palette forevz ago, but it looks like you can buy the same brush on Ebay. I feel like it blends to perfection!

So what about you ... Do you have a holy grail brush?

  2. Okay, so seeing as your makeup is always flawless and you're pretty much an expert on experimenting and applying the stuff, I think we should seriously schedule a session so you can help a sista out! The whole blending thing and foundation/powder/concealer just gives me a headache. Seriously, can we PLEASE make this happen?! I need your expertise! :)

  3. Totally agree about the Urban Decay eyeshadow brush - best one ever!! I'm also a huge fan of any Real Technique brushes, they do an amazing job and really reasonably priced!

  4. I do love a good make up brush!!! I use the beauty blender, which I am sure is similar to your real techniques sponge. I just love the look it gives! Sephora has an airbrush foundation brush that I really want. I cant remember the number I am going to have to go stalk their store to figure it out!
