Eight Years

It's totally wild to think that 8 years ago today, my now husband and baby daddy asked me to be his girlfriend. My love for him has grown so much in the past eight years, and I just thank God for putting us together. For those who don't know, hubby and I met in college. I was just 20 years old - such a baby. But I knew (literally from the moment that I met him) that he would be mine. I just knew it.

Our paths to get to Sam Houston State was totally a God thing. I only went to the university because my high school best friend was going there. And Ross transferred in because SHSU offered a golf program that he wanted to pursue.

When we had our first conversation on October 29, 2006,  I knew I wanted him to be mine forever, but we waited until April 6, 2007 to make it official. It was definitely the best decision that I ever made. And clearly it paid off. We are happily married and have been for the past 3.5 years. Also, we're expecting a miniature version of us to arrive (aka a baby girl) in just 2 short months, who was made purely out of love. (Don't mind the fact that doctors implanted Kensington into my uterus; she was definitely created based on prayer after prayer that my hubby and I said to God.)

I can only imagine how much sweeter life will get in the future. My prayer is that over the span of the next eight years and beyond, our marriage will continue to thrive in God's name. I also pray for abundance over our fertility so that we can create a whole basketball team of mini Skinners. I pray that I can be the wife that my husband loves and deserves. I pray all of these things in my sweet Savior's name.

And just because today is a special day, I figured I would share Kensie Grace's 3D picture. My girl has chunky cheeks (the best!!!!), her mommy's lips, and her daddy's nose!!!
