Pregnancy: Week 34

How far along: 34 very precious and happy weeks! Holy cow, can y'all believe how fast this pregnancy is going by!? My Lord knows how grateful I am. I am trying to soak up the last couple of weeks with Kensington inside of me, but boy-oh-boy am I getting excited to pinch her cheeks.

Baby Size: Roughly 18 inches long, according to my baby app. Next week we'll have an estimate on her weight.

Gender: A mini me

Movement: Homegirl makes me giggle pretty hard with some of her movements. I love watching her search for more room within my womb. She will try to bounce from one side to the other and my whole belly will jiggle. Her favorite thing to do at this point is to push her butt against my ribs. As uncomfortable as it can be, I LOVE all movements! Bring it on, baby girl.

Best moment this week: Finalizing her nursery has been such a good feeling. I really enjoy looking at all of the clothes in her closet and her drawers and imagine what outfits will be her favorite.

Looking forward to: I am very much looking forward to my shower this weekend. It's with family in my hometown, so I know it'll be a good time. Plus, it's a couples shower, so my baby daddy will be able to join. Another thing I'm excited about is Kensie's third anatomy scan next week. Praying that my amniotic fluid levels are still within a normal range. That has been my doctor's biggest concern - just that it's normally high (but still within the normal range).

What I miss: I miss the days when people would stop giving me advice. HAHA. I'm only partially joking. I know that everyone has opinions, but I (personally) have never, and will never, be the type to just blare our my opinions when they aren't asked. I just pretty much smile and nod these days, and pretend that I'm listening. I think it makes other people feel good about themselves.

Symptoms: Super tight hands and feet due to fluid retention. It's a really strange feeling. Luckily, my blood pressure is always totally fine, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Thank you Jesus! I am just trying to drink lots and lots of water.

Nursery: As promised, I will be posting pictures very soon. I am hoping that I can get them up by Thursday or Friday of this week. Be on the look out! I am one happy momma. Kensie Grace's nursery is my favorite room in the house!

Wedding rings on or off? Since all of my jewelry is too tight, I'm rocking my $12 fake rings from Kohls. I am looking forward to the day when I can wear my real jewelry though.

Daddy-isms: Daddy has been helping mommy plan out how we'll temporarily rearrange our bedroom so that Kensie can sleep in our room at first. I told him that I wanted to put my dresser on his side of the room to make room for her to sleep closer to me, and he said, "well I wanted her to sleep on my side of the room!" I think we have agreed to move the TV out of our bedroom and put her in the middle of the room. My baby daddy loves his little girl.

Prayer: Dear God, you get all the glory. I never would've imagined that I would have such a beautiful and healthy pregnancy, but this was in your grand plan. I am so grateful to be 34 weeks pregnant. I am trusting that you will continue to take care of both Kensie and I. Thank you for showing mercy over my husband and I by providing us this miracle baby. THANK YOU, God!

  3. You look amazing! My little girl does the same thing with pushing her bottom up against my ribs. I love feeling her move but I wouldn't mind if she shifted a little bit. ;) Have a wonderful time at your shower.

The unsolicited advice drove me CRAZY when I was a bride. So many opinions! And it's YOUR wedding, it's about you (as this is YOUR baby). I finally started to tune people out.
