Confess Sesh

I confess... That not having cable isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm a TV junkie (as if I actually have time to watch it anymore though), so saying 'no' to cable for the next 5 months wasn't an easy decision. But I'm making it thanks to our Apple TV and a kid who likes 99.9% of my attention.

I confess... But that being said, I really wished I had seen the Grammy's. What was your favorite part?

I confess... That I am excited, anxious, and sad all at the same time. The sell of our house is trucking along. As many of you may know, there's usually a 30-day or 45-day close. We are doing a 30-day close, and spoiler alert: we listed on January 25 and we're closing February 25. I can't wait to share with  you more about this story. IT'S AWESOME. Come back on the 25th to read more.

I confess... That I freaking love Costco.
I confess... That I am sick again and really mad about it! What the heck?

I confess... That I am finally feeling motivated and ready to lose some weight - but I'm going to wait until I don't feel as sick. I think I'll jump back on the 21 Day Fix plan since I have all of the containers and everything!

I confess... That I don't know how to cook. Hashtag undomesticated. What's your favorite crock pot recipe?
I confess... That JoJo on The Bachelor may be my favorite. I also like Lauren B. though! Last weeks episode of Leah making up a lie about Lauren B. just annoyed me so bad. I can't imagine saying a lie on TV and then admitting that I had just lied because I was "desperate to get Ben's attention." Doesn't she know how bad that makes her look?

I confess... That I am obnoxiously excited that hubby and I are going to Wild West soon.
I confess... That I am itching to cut my hair. And I have decided I'm gonna do it. Plus, I'm a firm believer in clip-in extensions, so if I'm feeling like longer hair, I can always clip some in.

I confess... That I've gone to Walmart a few times recently and have been surprised that customer service hasn't sucked as much as it normally does AND I've also found a few new tops for super duper crazy cheap. Who knew?! I got a lilac soft tee for $2.97. Ummm... yes please!

  1. We cut our satellite a few months ago and we dont miss it at all. With Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Fire...who needs it?! You can catch some of the Grammy stuff on Youtube. I went to Walmart this past weekend for the first time in months and I had about 15 people ask me if I was finding things ok or if I needed help. They have stepped up their game. And I got two super cute necklaces for $5!!! I am cutting my hair off this weekend. AHhhhh!!!!

  2. Jojo is my favorite, too! Totally convinced that Lauren B wins though - he definitely seems the most into her. We love doing chicken tacos in the crockpot, so easy and so good!

  5. We cutoff our cable recently too and I don't miss it at all. Hulu, Netflix, and firestick is all we watch now. Love the money we are saving.

  6. Hands down fave Grammy moment was Taytay's dig at Kanye in her acceptance speech. (In response to his new song lyrics about how he made her famous, in case you didn't know about that)

  7. A. I'm not a cook either! Have you tried Hello Fresh?! I'm obsessed. They deliver all the ingredients and give you picture instructions. Makes me feel like Susie-freakin-homemaker :).

    2. I'm so sorry you're sick! Mom-ing is hard enough already.

    C. Yay for Wild West!!! You'll have soooo much fun. My mom has bunco that night {rude}. Otherwise we'd totally be there!!

  8. If you don't have the new Apple TV, do it! Don't waste your money on buying the one with more memory because you really won't need it unless you are downloading every game app out there. It has apps, the remote has Siri, and it's so much better! You can just ask Siri to search for a show and it will bring up everywhere it is located, including Netflix, Hulu, etc. It's awesome! *not a sponsored comment* haha! We cut cable about two months ago and the only things we miss are the live events like Super Bowl, Grammy's, etc. But you get over that pretty quick when you aren't paying the cable bill. :)

  10. I like Jojo too but I'm thinking Lauren B wins, ya know according to Reality Steve..haha OK so if you like bbq I recommend boneless bbq ribs in the crockpot, you can't mess it up! Just get you a pack or two of boneless ribs, sweet yellow onion and a container of BBQ sauce. We prefer sweet baby rays but you can use any kind. Rub the ribs with some seasonings of your choice then brown them just for a couple minutes. Throw them in the crockpot with cut up onion and bbq sauce and set on low for like 8 hours. (you may want to mix the bbq sauce with some water in a bowl so it's not quite so thick then pour it in there.) I LOVE these and how easy is that? You can also find a ton of easy recipes on http://mixandmatchmama.blogspot.com/ too of course.

  11. Girl you really didnt miss much on the Grammy's. Most of the performances were terrible... Even Carrie Underwood which hurt my heart, she did look fabulous though (as did Sam Hunt!). And yay for selling your house so quick! Thats such a blessing!

  12. We went without cable for a year and a half and have it again now- but will likely get rid of it again! LOL, I just feel like I have too many options with cable and end up wasting too much time. Netflix is all I really need ;) I have a whole board on crockpot meals - I swear it's the only way we eat! https://www.pinterest.com/ErinLFF/crockpot/

  13. Congratulations on selling your house so quick!! That's amazing - can't wait to hear the story! I love this season of the Bachelor and really think it'll end up being Lauren B in the end. Still can't decide if Jojo or Caila will be the next bachelorette... your hair will look so adorable short :)
